The NU SEDS assistant professor encouraged Almaty high school students to pursue careers in science

NU SEDS Assistant Professor Gulnur Kalimuldina addressed high school students in Almaty during the "Find your way" event, an initiative by the Yessenov Foundation aimed at guiding young individuals in defining their life's path and exploring career opportunities.

For the first time in the project's history, the event was conducted in the Kazakh language.

Gulnur Kalimuldina spoke about "How to build a career in the field of science." She shared her journey in science, discussing how she pursued the path of a scientist and researcher. Additionally, she explored the opportunities available at NU for both researchers and students. She showcased successful graduates from her research group who are currently pursuing their Ph.D. degrees in the USA and working abroad. Her primary focus was encouraging high schoolers to consider diverse career paths, including the option of becoming a research scientist. As an engaging part of her talk, she prepared science-related questions for students, offering the winner a summer internship in her laboratory.
