Record Academic Excellence at SEDS: 328 Students Make Dean’s List, Including 5 with 4.0 GPA in Both Semesters

On April 24, 2025, the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) at Nazarbayev University proudly celebrated 328 students who earned a place on the Dean’s List for their exceptional academic achievements during the Fall and Spring semesters of 2024. Representing nearly 13% of the school’s total student body of 2,559, this recognition reflects SEDS’ commitment to fostering excellence in one of the most rigorous academic environments.

According to the Academic Policies and Procedures of Nazarbayev University, students who achieve a 3.75 GPA or above are eligible to be placed on the Dean’s List. This award is posted on the student transcript at the end of any qualifying semester. Notably, this year saw a record number of high achievers, including 29 students in Fall and 21 students in Spring who earned 4.0 GPA.

What makes this year’s Dean’s List especially remarkable is the number of students who reached the highest possible GPA — and five exceptional students who maintained a 4.0 GPA across both semesters — setting a new benchmark of academic distinction at SEDS.

The ceremony brought together faculty and students in a meaningful tradition that celebrates academic success. Dean Yelyzaveta Arkhangelsky congratulated each student, recognizing their perseverance, talent, and continued pursuit of excellence.
