NU SEDS Professor Becomes Senior Editor of Prestigious Journal - IEEE Access

Associate Professor of the NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, Ton Duc Do, was appointed as the Senior Editor of the IEEE Access journal.

IEEE Access is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. It has about 60 senior editors. The scientist has received the Outstanding Associate Editor Award of IEEE Access while working as editor of the journal and its unique issues over the past three years. According to the IEEE website, Dr. Ton Duc Do was listed among the top 2% of most cited scientists in the annual rankings and career-long lists.

"Serving as a Senior Editor at IEEE Access highlights my recognition as an expert and leader in my field, reflecting my significant achievements and leadership in technical publications. This role allows me to influence the direction of research, ensure high-quality papers are published, and uphold the integrity and standards of IEEE. He emphasized that the appointment of an NU scientist to such a prominent position is a testament to the university's commitment to nurturing leaders in academic publishing and research. This association with IEEE's high standards solidifies NU's reputation for excellence and instils a sense of pride in students, faculty, and research partners who value such a commitment to quality and ethical practices, he believes.

Professor Ton Duc Do graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Vietnam and earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Dongguk University in South Korea. He joined Nazarbayev University in 2015. His research interests include control engineering, motor drives, renewable energy conversion systems, and nano-robots.

IEEE is the world's largest professional association of electronics engineering, electrical engineering, and other related disciplines, with members from more than 190 countries worldwide.
