For their Best Global Universities annual rankings, the U.S. News and World Report compiled a list of 2,000 universities in over 90 countries, including the U.S. Universities ranked by the quality of the research and the quality of their programs in general.
“For Nazarbayev University to be ranked #362 out of 2,000 programs in Electrical Engineering is particularly notable, as we outrank top U.S. schools, such as Northwestern, UPenn, San Diego State, and CSU, not to mention other schools outside of the United States. The schools that we have outranked have a lot of funding for their programs and typically have a student body of about 20,000 students or more. What we have accomplished at Nazarbayev University over the past 12 years is truly impressive. The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) is now actively working toward ABET accreditation by 2025, which will propel our global ranking even further,” says the External Acting Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Akhan Almagambetov.
