On April 10, the NU SEDS team participated in the joint business meetings with the parties previously signed the MoU to collaborate on constructing earthquake-resistant buildings.
NU SEDS, The Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Association of legal entities «Self-regulating organization» Republican Union of Designers of Kazakhstan, had two meetings to discuss the following steps:
All Parties agreed to make every effort to develop cooperation in the areas of mutual interest and shall inform each other about promising projects on cooperation through sending an official appeal.

- Research and development of industrial waste (desulfurized gypsum, coal ash, etc.) treatment and recycling;
- Research and development of building codes and regulations in the area of building design and construction;
- Research and development of earthquake-resistant buildings and structures, construction waste recycling, energy-saving and energy-efficient buildings, building information modeling (BIM), etc.;
- Capacity building, including training and retraining of personnel;
