NU SEDS Professor Leads Kazakhstan’s 6G Revolution

Galymzhan Nauryzbayev, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences of Nazarbayev University, is at the forefront of advancing 6G communication technologies. His projects on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) and Fluid Antenna Systems (FAS) aim to enhance signal quality, expand coverage, and boost energy efficiency in wireless networks.

These innovations hold great potential for Kazakhstan, contributing to the training of local specialists and positioning the country as a leader in telecom technology. Nauryzbayev plans to establish a 6G research center to further drive scientific progress and innovation in the region.
