Nazarbayev University's School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (NU SEDS) welcomed prospective students and their parents to its Open House Day on February 16th, Saturday. The event was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of SEDS' 22 academic programs for those interested in engineering and digital sciences.
The day commenced with a warm welcome by dedicated staff and student ambassadors stationed at the SEDS Welcome Desk. Participants were first immersed in an informative session titled "Admission Countdown: Last-Minute FAQ Session" by the NU Admission Department.
Then attendees had the opportunity to engage with faculty members, gaining insights into the various academic programs offered by SEDS. Interactive sessions divided into SEDS' 6 departments allowed visitors to explore the curriculum, research initiatives, and career prospects within each department. This part also included info session focused on insights about the Nazarbayev University Entrance Test (NUET).
The event featured engaging activities such as lab tours, providing attendees with a firsthand look at SEDS' state-of-the-art facilities. Additionally, specialized sessions, including the Arduino Development Camp and mock interviews conducted by the Admission Committee, Engineering Management's Den pitching game for those interested in the Master of Engineering Management program, which is designed to help aspiring candidates gain insights and confidence for their admission interviews, offered invaluable insights and guidance to future students.
