On September 6, the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences illuminated the way at the annual Majors Fair, assisting students still unsure of their career paths. The event, organized by the Academic Advising Office and hosted in the upper atrium of the university campus, extended over two engaging hours.
Majors Fair 2023 primarily catered to first-year undergraduate students and participants from NU's Foundation Year Program (NUFYP) seeking clarity on their academic paths. The event facilitated direct conversations with 20 professors representing SEDS' six departments, allowing attendees to gain comprehensive insights into the school's undergraduate programs. Many undeclared students had the opportunity to ask questions in person and learn about SEDS' bachelor majors and opportunities to engage in research during their studies from faculty. Additionally, they had the opportunity to gain insights from the showcased faculty and student research projects.
Moreover, participants had the opportunity to engage directly with students who are already on successful academic journeys within SEDS during this event. These student ambassadors shared their personal experiences, offering invaluable guidance and inspiration to their peers.
