US Fulbright Scholar visits the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of NU SEDS


The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering of NU SEDS are delighted to announce a visit by the US Fulbright Scholar, Prof. Vladimir Golubev. This is the first Fulbright Scholar to visit Nazarbayev University, and is divided into several periods of residence for study, research and possible future collaboration.

Prof. Golubev holds a PhD from the prestigious, University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana and currently holds the position of tenured Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Dayton Beach, Florida. At Embry-Riddle, Dr. Golubev is the founding Director of ERAU Propulsion and Aerodynamics Computational Laboratory. He now leads an interdisciplinary Computational Aero Propulsion Group of multi-university Florida Center for Advanced Aero Propulsion combining faculty and students from different academic programs and collaborating in multi-disciplinary areas of aircraft flow, flight and propulsion control, with focus both on fundamental and applied science of UAV operations in gusty urban environments.

The Faculty and staff of the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering welcome Prof. Golubev and look forward to interacting with him and working to producing mutually fruitful outcomes.
