Welcome to the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences – a vibrant and dynamic school that is home to about 3000 individuals, including students, faculty members, and administrative staff. Our community has an around 50:50 ratio of female to male students and includes faculty members from over 25 countries.
Currently, the School is composed of six departments
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Chemical and Materials Engineering
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Computer Science
Robotics Engineering
and is running twenty-three academic programs at all levels: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph D. Starting from August 2025, the School offers a professional Master's program in Applied AI and Data Science. The program was developed and introduced to meet the growing interest and demand in the rapidly evolving field.
Our students, during their studies, not only have the opportunity to learn from top experts in engineering and digital sciences, but also gain cutting-edge, hands-on experience in their major. The students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, engage with world-leading researchers, participate in international exchange programs, and beyond.
Our students and alumni actively contribute to and lead advancements in engineering, technology, AI, materials science, energy, and many other areas. As of today, nearly 300 SEDS undergraduate students, along with all Master’s and Ph D students, are engaged in research, presenting at scientific conferences, publishing in high-impact journals, and driving progress in STEM disciplines. Our graduates are welcomed by the world’s top universities — including Stanford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and ETH Zurich — as well as leading global and national companies such as BI Group, Kaspi, Air Astana, Amazon, Google, Meta, and many more.
Let yourself dream — and join us to make your dream come true!
Sincerely,
Yelyzaveta Arkhangelsky
